Last corn post...I promise.During one of our shucking sessions, my sisters and I were banished to the garage to decrease the mess from our shucking. We set the shucked cobs on the car. While we working away one of the cobs rolled off the car hood onto the ground. We all laughed and decided that we would "mark" it by picking out some selected kernels so we would know which one it was and not eat it. So as dinner was being served that night we made sure my dad got the one that rolled onto the garage floor. We all watched with anticipation as my dad munched away. He exclaimed, "this is the best corn I have EVER had." We fell off our chairs with laughter. We decided that it was BECAUSE the corn rolled off the car and onto the ground. So from then on we made it a tradition to shuck the corn then roll it off a car and onto the ground. I really think it made the corn that much better, plus it was a fantastic tradition.
*Note: if you eat corn on the cob at my house now, you can rest assured that I have disbanded this tradition.*

I definitely feel like I picked the best one. Haha...really though these last 5 years have been great.
